Richarlison said on Monday that he had struggled with health problems the past eight months and decided to go under the knife. "The Brazil international will commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff immediately, before returning to training in the coming weeks," Spurs said in a statement. He joins a long injury list at Spurs which includes Ivan Perisic, James Maddison, Ben Davies, Micky van de Ven and Manor Solomon. Spurs are second in the standings, a point behind Manchester City, and next play away at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

But that 4-1 reverse, Postecoglou's first setback in the Premier League, could cost the north London club more than a return to top spot and the loss of three points. A home game against City will perhaps say a lot more about whether or not Chelsea have turned a corner. Boos rang around Old Trafford at halftime as United went into the break trailing Brentford, staring down the barrel of a seventh defeat this season in all competitions. Substitute McTominay rattled home the equaliser after a goalmouth scramble in the 93rd minute and he was not done yet. Trailing with 92:46 on the clock, this was the latest United had been behind in a Premier League game in which they came back to win. Aug 8 (Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur have signed Dutch centre back Micky van de Ven from German side Wolfsburg on a six-year contract, the Premier League club said on Tuesday. At Wolfsburg, the defender was deployed in a back three as well as a back four as the club finished eighth. "We are delighted to announce the signing of Micky van de Ven from VfL Wolfsburg, subject to international clearance and work permit," Spurs said in a statement. Van de Ven follows the permanent signings of James Maddison, Pedro Porro, Guglielmo Vicario, Manor Solomon and Ashley Philips. Spurs open their Premier League campaign away at Brentford on Sunday.
